high line canal
The High Line Canal is a 71-mile-long linear park that zig-zags across the entire Denver metro area. As part of a transition of stewardship for this treasured outdoor amenity from Denver Water, the former operators, to the High Line Canal Conservancy, the current overseers, an effort to improve the usability of the trail system via a coordinated signage and map program was undertaken.
A public process that involved numerous stakeholder meetings equipped the design team with public priorities for the signage program, including the development of a series of custom maps, wayfinding kiosks, interpretive signage, and a trail-wide mile marker program that also doubles as donor recognition.
Additionally, designs for a printed map and trail guidebook were completed, including complex print management and bespoke fold-out map panels.
